What costs money in Mekimeki?
Nothing does. Mekimeki has no PRO tier, no subscription, no trial that expires, no advertising and no account to create — every behaviour documented in this help centre is available to everyone from the day the app is installed. That includes the things trackers most often reserve for a paid tier: unlimited templates, unlimited custom exercises, your complete history with no cut-off on how far back you can read, every progress chart over that whole history, multi-week programs, and the built-in training plans.
The limits that are not here
| Workout templates | Unlimited. There is no cap of three, or of any other number. |
|---|---|
| Custom exercises | Unlimited. |
| History depth | Complete. There is no cut-off beyond which older sessions stop being readable. |
| Progress charts | All of them, over your whole history rather than a recent window. |
| Multi-week programs | Included. |
| Built-in training plans | Included, and each one becomes an ordinary template you own and can edit. |
| Advertising | None, of any kind. |
| Account | None. There is no sign-up and no login screen. |
There is no upgrade screen
This is worth saying plainly because "free" is used loosely across the category. Mekimeki has no purchase to make anywhere in the app, so there is no upgrade prompt, no locked chart, and no feature that stops working after a period of time.
Free here also does not mean small. The app carries multi-week programs, a training calendar, built-in plans, nine ways to read your progress, a plate calculator, six set types with the scoring described elsewhere in this help centre, iCloud sync for your own data, and eleven languages.
How this is funded
It is not, in any way that depends on you. Mekimeki carries no advertising, sells no data, and has no analytics business behind it. There is no revenue model that a future paywall would be the natural next step of.
What this does not do
The boundaries of the behaviour above, stated so you do not have to infer them.
- Mekimeki is iPhone only, and needs iOS 17 or later. There is no Android version and no web app.
- There is no coaching service, no video library, and no social feed. This is a logging and progress tool.
- Backup uses your own iCloud account. Mekimeki runs no server that holds your training data.
Related questions
Is there a PRO version?
No. There is no paid tier at all, so there is nothing to upgrade to and no upgrade screen anywhere in the app.
Is it free for a limited time, or a trial?
Neither. There is no trial period and no expiry. The app behaves the same on day one and on day five hundred.
Are there ads?
No, of any kind — no banners, no interstitials, and no sponsored content.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up and no login screen. Your training is stored on your device and backed up through your own iCloud.
