A workout tracker that works offline
Gyms are where signal goes to die. Basements, concrete, steel racks. Mekimeki works fully offline: no internet connection is required to log a workout, and there is no account and no server between you and your own training data.
What works with no connection
- Everything you do during a session. Start a workout, load a template, log sets, reps and weight, run the rest timer.
- Your whole history. Past sessions, previous performance on every set, volume trends, and your training calendar.
- The calculated parts. Estimated 1RM and automatic personal records are worked out on the device.
- Your library. The full exercise library and any custom exercises you have added.
Why it is built this way
Logging is a right-now action you take in the ten seconds before your next set, and the gym is exactly where the network is worst. If an app needs a connection to feel safe, it feels unsafe at the moment you actually use it. So a set is written to your iPhone the instant you tap it, rather than being sent somewhere first and confirmed later.
Offline, but not stranded
Your training stays on your device, and your own iCloud is used for backup, so your log follows you to a new iPhone without an account. A dropped signal can delay that backup. It cannot take away a set you already logged.

Does Mekimeki work without an internet connection?
Yes. Every part of logging works offline: starting a session, loading a template, recording sets, the rest timer, your history, and your personal records. No connection is needed at any point.
Do I lose a set if the signal drops mid-workout?
No. Each set is written to your iPhone the moment you tap it, not sent to a server first. A dropped signal can delay an iCloud backup, but it cannot cost you a logged set.
Where is my data if there is no server?
In the current version your training data is stored on your iPhone, with your own iCloud used for backup. Mekimeki has no accounts and no servers of its own.
Is the offline version limited compared to online?
There is no online version to compare against. The app is the same app with or without a connection, and every feature is free either way.
