What's new in Mekimeki 1.2: multi-week training programs
Mekimeki 1.2 is out. The headline is multi-week training programs: instead of only saving templates, you can now build a full program that schedules your training weeks ahead and lays out the progression for you. This release also makes the exercise library faster to search and adds new filters.
Multi-week training programs
A program turns your saved templates into a structured plan. Give it a name, choose how many weeks it runs and how many sessions per week, assign a workout to each training day, and pick a progression preset. Mekimeki then lays out every week's targets, with a schedule preview before you commit.
When you start a program, you choose a start date, see the first week previewed, and Mekimeki writes the scheduled sessions straight onto your calendar. From there, each session is tracked as due today, upcoming, missed, or completed, and the program moves through draft, active, completed, and archived states as you go. Starting a new program while one is already running is handled cleanly, so you are never stuck with two active plans.
This is the practical side of progressive overload: the plan decides how much to add and when, including deload weeks, instead of leaving it to memory.
Faster exercise search and new filters
Finding the right movement is quicker in 1.2. Search now matches localized exercise names across supported languages, and handles Chinese and Japanese queries whether or not you type spaces between characters. Two new filters help you narrow the library:
- Common exercises, to jump straight to the movements most people use.
- Difficulty level, to browse by how advanced an exercise is.
The bundled exercise data and translations were expanded in the process, so results are more complete.
Smoother logging
Your previous performance now reads consistently across the active session, your history, and the Start Workout screen, so the "last time" numbers line up wherever you see them while you train.
Fixes and polish
- Live Activity language now stays in sync with the app.
- Fixed a session screen layout issue.
- Wording updates for the new library filters across supported languages.
